For those of you who don’t know it, Royal Wootton Bassett is a small town in Wiltshire where fallen British soldiers were flown into. This is a moving tribute video.
Repatriation flights flew into RAF Lynham in Wiltshire and the extraordinary people of Royal Wootton Bassett lined the streets after every flight landed and fell silent as hearses passed through the town.
Over the years this mark of respect was repeated, with greater numbers each time, to honour those fallen and to show support for their families.
